Parents, family members, and care-givers, you will learn to sign to communicate about school related issues with children in your care who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH). Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Students Welcome.

Calling all parents, family members and tutors of deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) children! Appropriate for grade levels K-6,
this two part workshop will teach you the "Touch Math" and "Thinking Maps" programs your child is learning at school so you can better support them at home.

In collaboration with our programming partner, The Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley, we are proud to announce Summer Swim Camp 2010.
Week One: June 1-4
Week Two: June 7-11
Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Hearing Peers, ages 5-11 who attending the Burbank DHH program are eligible to attend Summer Swim Camp. Water Safety and Swimming Skills are taught in direct sign language instruction.

Thanks to a generous contribution from the Brookside Fund, Our Community will co-fund an afterschool drama program with Deaf West Theatre, beginning January 6th, 2011. K-5th grade students enrolled in the Washington Elementary School in Burbank in the DHH program in Burbank are eligible to participate. Program will be taught in American Sign Language by veteran actor Troy Kotsur.
This program is free of charge.
